Winter Storm Warning Issued for OR and WA Coasts

An urgent winter storm warning has been issued through 10 a.m. Tuesday for the North Oregon and South Washington coasts by the National Weather Service Portland. The forecast is for:

  • Heavy wet snow. Additional snow accumulations of up to 3 inches, mainly above 500 feet. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph.
  • Slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact this morning’s or evening commute.
  • Snow levels will vary between sea level and 1000 feet due to the showery nature of the precipitation.
If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, blanket, cell charger and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.

For the latest road conditions call 5 1 1, or visit TripCheck. For Washington, visit wsdot.com/travel/real-time/map
